Christmas Joy

Work have decided to can 10% of staff, some good people I know are being axed in a move that hasn't been clearly explained yet.

Frankly its pretty surprising, this is an organisation that prides itself on its people and on recognising their value.

The timing's pretty poor too, eh.

PS. Speaking to the boss just a while ago, still not exactly clear on what led to the decision, but the timing thing is simply because it was felt it would be worse to plough through Christmas and then announce the news in Jan - that going ahead now was fairer than waiting until later.
