Ramsay is apparently in the news again for slamming other chefs who don't rely on 'in-season' produce - see the following article for details.
I'm with Rammo on this - whilst I stop short at fining restaurants, I think that there should be some kind of encouragement for us as consumers to be demanding stuff that's locally produced and appropriate to the current season.
