Transportation!

Already got a car! I've only been in the country just over a day!

:-)

Spent a bit of time yesterday trawling the web looking at Autotrader for suitable wheels, we turned a nice low mileage Ford Focus Zetec 1.6 at a reasonable price.
Having almost resigned myself to getting a small, super-efficient diesel supermini I spotted that the larger, nicer Focus was about the same price as something such as a Clio DCi (with higher miles!) so rang the guy selling it and checked out most of the details over the phone before he kindly brought it round for us to look at.

Long story short, its nice, got its service history, only done 38000 miles in its 7 years of existence and will do just fine thank you! Bought it on the spot, meaning that we just had to give him a lift home back to Chorley (Peter Kay, anybody?) which is closer than I thought actually.

Its odd driving a manual again, though the Focus has a quite light but precise change so I'm kinda enjoying the 'chore' of changing gears manually again :-)
