Well, as I type SWMBO is sorting accommodation for our grand tour of the South Island!
Woo hoo! Finally we are going to see and touch all those famous places that appear in the tourist guides and help NZ sell itself as a premium natural beauty spot of the world.
We're taking 2 weeks in December to wander around the island, getting back just before Crimbo, with the final days being in the Marlborough region (guess who's going to stock up on fine wine when he gets there...!) before we return to Wellington.
Sharon's Mum lands in NZ about a day before we set off on the tour and we've made a point of not telling her about it, so will be a complete surprise - hopefully quite a nice one!
Given the current Spring weather here, I'm just hoping the climate straightens itself out by the time we set off, otherwise could be a bit rotten spending all that time getting wet...
