New Mota!

One of the fun parts of moving back halfway around the world to the UK (and there aren't actually all that many 'fun' parts, sadly) is the prospect of looking for a new set of wheels.

Well, for me its fun, I expect that Shaz isn't quite so bothered, as long as its easy to park and the colour's nice... :-) [now i'm in trouble if she reads this!]

Nevertheless, while I'm obviously after a ride that will entertain, amuse, titillate and so on, its need to be cheap to buy, run and insure. So what on earth to go for? There is actually a lot of choice down the lower end of the market, as many manufacturers have been making decent cars for a few years now, thankfully! Early Polo GTI? Honda Civic VTEC? Peugeot 206 GTI? They're all around the kind of price that makes sense.
Of course Captain Sensible will say go for the smallest and most economical car you can find, but I can't listen to him when it comes to personal transportation... I can't easily let him win in such circumstances, though he probably should.

Decisions decisions...
